No More Phone or Email Complaints: HUD’s New Online Submission Requirement

UPDATE: HUD No Longer Accepts Discrimination Complaints by Email or Phone (Online Form ONLY)

HUD’s Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity has announced that they will no longer accept housing discrimination complaints by email or phone.

Their online form (HUD-903 – Report Housing Discrimination) is now the only way you can submit a fair housing complaint, unless:

1.     You need a reasonable accommodation due to disability

2.     You are unable to access technology

If you need an accommodation to file a complaint OR don’t have access to technology, you may call 800-669-9777 to report housing discrimination at HUD’s Housing Discrimination Hotline.

Housing discrimination is illegal. If you feel you have been discriminated against while trying to rent or buy a home based on your race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or because you have children, contact the Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center (LaFHAC)

(504) 596-2100 or 877-445-2100 for help.
