LaFHAC’s certified Housing Counselor offers free counseling to homeowners in the New Orleans area around a variety of post-purchase issues. Please note: Due to staff capacity, our foreclosure intervention intakes will take place only on Fridays. If you are not able to obtain an appointment within the month, please feel free to visit other HUD Approved Community Agencies who have similar mortgage assistance programs. Assistance negotiating with lenders for affordable forbearance plans, loan modifications, partial claims, loan payoffs and other loan repayment options
