Housing Rights Clinic, September 24, 2015 at Baton Rouge Community College

On Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, the Greater New Orleans Fair Housing Action Center (GNOFHAC) and Southeast Louisiana Legal Services (SLLS) will host a free housing clinic at Baton Rouge Community College in the Dumas Conference Room of the Magnolia Building. The event is open to the public and will operate on a first come, first served basis.

Participants will be invited to discuss housing-related legal issues with a licensed Louisiana attorney.  Attendees will receive information about their housing rights under federal and local laws and will be given information about legal resources for addressing housing discrimination and other housing law violations.

Southeast Louisiana Legal Services (SLLS) is the largest provider of civil legal aid in Louisiana and provides free legal services for low-income populations in 22 parishes.  SLLS attorneys provide frequent trainings on Louisiana landlord-tenant law, fair housing, and foreclosure prevention.

The Greater New Orleans Fair Housing Action Center (GNOFHAC) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to ending housing discrimination in Louisiana and furthering equal housing opportunity for all people through education, outreach, advocacy, and enforcement of fair housing laws.
