On behalf of everyone at LaFHAC, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who participated in this year’s Fair Housing Month events. Your support truly made this year’s events a resounding success, especially considering the challenges we’ve faced in recent times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Community Crawfish Boil was a smash hit, bringing together nearly 100 guests who enjoyed this true community staple while learning about housing justice.

Fair Housing Trivia Night was a fun-filled evening that put community members’ fair housing knowledge to the test. It was great to see everyone come together for a laid-back night of games and education.

Our Housing Mobility team also gave an informative presentation to the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors (NOMAR) about how our program helps families with Housing Choice Vouchers funded by HANO live and attend school in areas of opportunity.

Our Know Your Rights and Small Landlord trainings were a hit, providing attendees with valuable knowledge on how to spot discrimination, what to do if they’ve experienced it, best practices for landlords, and how housing justice contributes to a more equitable society.

We were thrilled to join together to celebrate advancing fair housing justice and opportunities for all. We look forward to continuing this vital work together in the future.
