LaFHAC Welcomes Our Two Newest Team Members, Silas Eames & Jodi Hill

Silas Eames, Education Coordinator.

Silas Eames graduated from Tulane University with their Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy with a concentration in Ethics. They were founding VP of Tulane’s transgender and gender nonconforming student organization Gender Exploration Society in 2011, and enjoy board games, cooking, and riding the swan boats in City Park with their wife. They are a New Orleans native and are passionate about education, equity, and community building. Silas is excited to join LaFHAC as Education Coordinator and help Louisiana residents understand their rights to safe, stable housing. 

Jodi Hill, Staff Attorney.

Jodi Hill is a Louisiana native who has focused on civil rights litigation in Louisiana. In law school, Jodi clerked with the Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center, Louisiana Federation of Teachers Union, and the Dovalina Law Group. She served as a student practitioner in the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law’s Workplace Justice Project. Jodi’s background also includes disability rights and workers’ rights.  Jodi is a 2020 recipient of the National Lawyers Guild C.B. King award. Jodi is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana and Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law.
